About

This blog has been a long time coming, mainly because it actually started a few years back, most of the topics I write about I actually come up with a couple of years back, but I just kept talking myself out starting this blog. In all honesty, at the time I was really not ready to step out of myself and write about my experiences because I was going through them, and taking myself way too seriously…

Ok step back, let me tell you who I am first…

My name is Bonolo Masango, I am 25 years old and this year, 2018 I will be starting my Masters in Architecture at the Graduate School of Architecture, the master’s architecture programme at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Only a few weeks to go now and I am so excited, I can’t wait. But whenever I tell people I’m going back to school -only after working in practice for a year- their response usually is: “how can you survive architecture school” or “I heard it’s very hard” or my absolute favourite “I know somebody that dropped out architecture school”, and well being that I’ve been doing this for quite some time I thought maybe I might share my experience.

Now hold on, I’m not claiming to know the absolute formula of making it through architecture school -NO WAY- I’m still in that boat myself, I’m just going to share with you how I did it, am doing it and how some of my friends or people I know are doing it as well… and perhaps maybe we can crack this code. Because honestly I still don’t have it all figured out here…
